What is the effect of frequency on diesel generators

What is the effect of frequency on diesel generators?

In the operation of diesel generators, Sichuan GWAS has always emphasized one point for everyone:

to ensure a suitable and stable frequency. Too high or too low a frequency will affect the diesel generator itself and the operation efficiency.

What are the specific effects? Sichuan GWAS will help you understand the next.

First of all, the effect of high frequency on diesel generators is as follows: the frequency is increased, mainly due to the limitation of the strength of

rotating machinery. The higher the frequency, the higher the speed of the motor, and the higher the speed, the centrifugal force on the rotor will

increase, which is easy to cause some parts of the rotor damage.

And the effect of low frequency on diesel generators is mainly about six points, mainly expressed as:

①The reduction in frequency causes a decrease in the speed of rotation, which reduces the wind in both ends of the fan, causing the generator

cooling conditions to deteriorate, and increases the temperature of the rest parts.

Low frequency, resulting in increased temperature of the rotary circuit.

Low frequency can also cause motor leaf fractures.

When the frequency is reduced, in order to keep the end voltage unchanged, it is necessary to increase the magnetic flux, which is easy to saturate the stator core, and the magnetic flux escapes,

so that some structural components of the frame produce local high temperature, and some parts even spark.

When the frequency is low, the speed of the plant motor is reduced, resulting in a decrease in output. It also has adverse effects on the safety of

users' electricity consumption, product quality, efficiency and so on.

It can be seen that ensuring the appropriate frequency can achieve the purpose of efficient operation of diesel generators, so we must pay attention

to the frequency in the process of operating diesel generators, and the maximum frequency of diesel generators should not exceed 52.5HZ, that is,

exceed 5% of the rated value.
