Common starting problems of diesel generator set and battery maintenance

As diesel generators are generally a spare power supply, they are often in a standby state, and their operating state is short-lived. 

But because it is an emergency power supply, its emergency startup capability is especially crucial, which requires the start-up system to 

function properly. 

And the key to starting is the battery. The battery is the only power source when the engine starts, and it needs careful maintenance. 

To allow the battery to reach the eligible voltage, it is required to monitor the voltage of the battery at normal times, stop charging after reaching 

the elicited voltage, and automatically charge if the voltage is lower than the elicited voltage.

This requires automatic charging equipment with a battery voltage monitoring function. Pay attention to the ratio of internal components of the 

battery; if the consumed internal water and acid do not accept the supplement in time or the electrolysis liquid volume does not reach the prescribed

liquid surface height, it will significantly reduce the performance of the battery. 

If the electrolyte is supplemented with an excessive dose, it is easier to corrode the connector columns than electrolytes, and the method

of treatment is to wear off the corrosion and reinforce the screw to reduce the resistance.
